'MADE-TO-ORDER' VS. 'CUSTOM ORDERED' DESIGNS — WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

Made-to-order tie dye designs (sometimes also referred to as handmade-to-order, custom made-to-order, or CMTO's) are essentially a collection of "permanent" tie dye designs, for lack of better term, in the sense that they're always available, in all sizes.
All designs featured in the made-to-order collection are quite literally handmade when ordered, and therefore, each CMTO tie dye t-shirt, long sleeve, or tank will slightly vary from the example(s) pictured on the product page.
Additionally, since each CMTO design is reproduced upon receiving the order, slight tweaks and changes may be possible (if requested and agreed upon before the order is placed), like different colors, or the same colors just in a different sequence, for example.  

Meanwhile, custom orders (aka custom commissions, or custom requests) more specifically refers to anything made via request — which is precisely what the rest of this page will primarily focus on! PICK-YOUR-OWN CUSTOM COLORS

When requesting a custom dyed design from Paradisiac Dyes, now you can pick the specific colors down to the shade, if you so choose! 
Recently, I compiled a complete guide of all the fiber reactive dyes I kept on-hand regularly, to dye special requests on-demand — no matter how big or small the project!
Check out all of the dye colors available for custom commissions to see true-to-color fabric samples of over 100 colors (no digitized color cards here!)
But, don't be deterred - if you don't prefer to be quite that picky, you're always more than welcome to list a general description of the colors you'd like on your custom design, too! 

PROCESSING TIMES

When it comes to custom commissions, you'll be provided with an estimated make-time and approx. ship-by date after clarifying the specific design(s) and quantity desired. The time required to complete custom orders will vary based on the individual circumstances of each request. 
However, handmade-to-order designs tend to be much more predictable. But, unlike orders containing only finished, ready-to-ship designs, (which oftentimes ship the same or next day as the order is placed), all products included in the CMTO design category will require a few days to create and complete before your order ships out. 
Most clothing items (tees, tanks, etc) require approximately 2-3 business days to handcraft before shipping. While things like fitted & flat sheets, or 4pc sheet sets require approximately 5-7 business days to complete before your order will be ready to ship out. 
However, please always make note of the written description of each individual product, as some patterns (like geodes, for example) will entail a longer processing time than the aforementioned estimates. 
If you're curious about why this whole "made-to-order" thing even exists in the first place — That's because, due to being a legitimately small, one person, in-house operation, I tend to keep a much smaller inventory of blanks (as in blank white clothing, bedding, etc.) available than one might expect.
Combine that with the time it'd require to consistently create a steady stream of back-ups in each size, in every design offered as a CMTO option, simply isn't feasible at this point in time; considering I manage quite literally every aspect of running the online business side of things, in addition to singlehandedly hand-dyeing 100% of the products available here. These are the primary reasons the "made-to-order" system is currently the best way for me to offer a wide variety of design options, in such a large spectrum of readily available shirt styles and sizes, despite genuinely being that small of a small business.
But, my hope is that with your support of my online store, this lil solo operation of mine will one day grow to the point of having the resources to be able to do just that — create back-ups of all the CMTO designs, in all of the sizes, to keep on-hand, ready to package up & ship out as soon as they're ordered! 

HOW-TO REQUEST A CUSTOM

DETAILS TO INCLUDE:

1. SIZE(S) —

To ensure you order the best fit possible, feel free to reference the Tie Dye Size Guide for the sizing and measurements of all the different brands and styles offered.

Oh, before I forget — No order minimums here! Which means, yes, anyone can get a customized, one of a kind design on just one (1) individual shirt, tank, etc. at a time, anytime! 

2. Please specify the shirt style (or other product type) you'd like —

Requests for "just a standard, basic tee" will be made on Gildan Heavy Cotton T-Shirts.

3. General color(s) and pattern — 

࿊ Feel free to include either a screenshot, or link to an existing product page if you'd like to request a recreation of an already available design but on a different product, or in a different size, etc.
࿊ Or, if you don't have a reference point for the hand-dyed design of your dreams, you can, of course, always describe the general color combo and type of pattern you'd like.

WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT

࿊ Once you've submitted your custom tie dye inquiry, I'll get back in touch with you to let you know if your request is something I'm able to take on, the total cost, and how long I estimate it'll take to complete your order before it'll be ready to ship out.
࿊ If all sounds good and is agreed upon, you'll then be sent an invoice that'll prompt you to complete your order via the secure checkout here on the site.
࿊ I'll also send photos of the completed item(s) before shipping to verify that your finished designs turned out just as awesome as you'd envisioned! (And in some instances, I'll even include exclusive, behind the scenes pics of your order in-the-making as a bonus!) 
࿊ Payment is due prior to the creation, completion and shipment of all custom commissioned item(s).
